OVER 30% OF INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS IN HOLIDAY & SPA 2023
The International Tourism Fair HOLIDAY & SPA will open its doors for the 39th time in 2023. The event contributes to the advertising of the country and actively works to offer new business and collaboration opportunities to the tourism industry every year by attracting new participants from different destinations. It is organized by Prim Expo, under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria and in partnership with Urbo Studio.
Dynamics and trust – the best of the travel industry!
From 15 to 17 February 2023 at Inter Expo Center, national exhibitors and regional tourism organizations, tour operators, agencies, tourist destinations, hotels and tourist centers, attractions, places for spa and health tourism, wine regions, events and festivals, suppliers of technology and hospitality equipment, media representatives will meet professional visitors, as well as travel enthusiasts looking for their next experience.
Globally, the tourism industry is growing despite the crises and is expected to soon reach 2019 levels, and travel will double in 2023, according to predicts by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).
The impact of this trend does not exclude Bulgaria, where travel is also growing, which also determines the greater interest of local and international companies in the Expo, and participants and visitors will get direct access to new markets and exclusive travel offers in various destinations from the whole world.
The participants in the event are over 250 from 15 countries!
Among the countries represented in the event are Algeria, Bulgaria, Greece, Dubai, India, Italy, Spain, Lithuania, Mauritius, Maldives, Peru, Romania, Serbia, Tunisia, Turkey, and the number of exhibitors has doubled compared to 2022.
As a ratio, 30% of the exhibitors are Bulgarian and foreign tour operators and agencies, 40% destinations, including national tourist organizations, tourist regions and municipalities, 10% are companies offering new technologies, hotels and complexes – 12%, about 6% is occupied by the accompanying industry. We are seeing an increase in international participants this year, and they are already over 30%.
Major Bulgarian tour operators have a large-scale appearance in the Exhibition halls with interesting presentations and new programs for the next year. Municipalities and Tourism districts promote local attractions, cultural sites, festivals, culinary and wine destinations.
For the first time in 2023, the National Tourist Board of Algeria, companies from Lithuania, Mauritius, Maldives and Peru will take part in the Expo.
Serious interest is also generated by the increased presence of tour operators, hotels, complexes and tourist regions from Turkey, and the Thracian Health Tourism Association introducing a number of opportunities for wellness and medical tourism.
The highlights of the HOLIDAY & SPA 2023 program will be sustainability, innovative technologies and alternative practices that improve the customer experience, the role of attractions, cultural events and festivals in the development of destinations, the cause of good journalism in tourism, etc.
