Bulgarian Society for Protection of the Birds (BSPB) is a leading nature conservation organization with long-standing experience in protecting wild birds in Bulgaria. In cooperation with local partners from the Sakar Mountain and Western Strandzha, we restore and manage thousands of hectares of grasslands in order to conserve and improve the habitats of the Eastern Imperial Eagle. One of our key causes in recent years has been to support the sustainable small businesses in the region, and one of the tools for achieving this is the creation of the digital platform VisitSakar.com. It is an online tourism portal developed in the spirit and values of the Bulgarian Society for Protection of the Birds, with a clear focus on conserving natural heritage, respecting local communities, and encouraging responsible practices.
