Troyan Municipality is located in Northern Bulgaria, at the foot of the Balkan Mountains – 36 km. south of Lovech, 160 km. northeast of Sofia, The climate is temperate-continental, with a pronounced mountain influence, precipitation above the average for the country and long-lasting snow cover, which, together with the presence of several slopes with natural and artificial snow, creates wonderful conditions for skiing in the winter resort “Beklemeto”.
Troyan Municipality also offers wonderful opportunities for cultural tourism – well-preserved architectural, ethnographic and historical sites, a monastery of national and international fame and churches from the Bulgarian Renaissance, preserved folk traditions and crafts, significant periodic events and religious and secular holidays.
