THE RHODOPES TOURISM REGION covers the territory of the Rhodopes Mountains, following the outer borders of its peripheral municipalities – a total of 28 in number. The area has a characteristic cultural-historical identity, preserved traditions and preserved nature, which are the basis of many tourist products and services: ski vacation, balneotourism, SPA and Wellness tourism, hiking, rural, adventure, ecotourism, cultural-historical, festival, hunting, fishing and pilgrimage tourism. The Organization for the Management of the Tourist Region “Rhodope” includes Regional Administration – Smolyan, the municipalities of Smolyan, Chepelare, Madzharovo, Velingrad, Ardino, Kuklen, Ivaylovgrad, Bratsigovo, Lucky, Devin and Madan, as well as NGO-organizations: “Rhodopes” RTA – Smolyan , RHRA – Smolyan, TD “Rhodopeia” – Yagodina, UHRT – Chepelare.
