The novelties in the Shumen Renaissance Complex and how to take advantage of the municipal tourist services?

There are six highlights in total with which the Shumen Municipality is participating in the tourist exhibition Holiday&SPA Expo 2026

Възрожденският комплекс в Шумен отбелязва значително повишаване на интереса от туристи и местни жители.

Do you want to visit a destination that offers many opportunities for tourism and touching various historical, cultural and natural sites? In the Shumen Municipality we find all this. Tea room, Bonsai garden, the Turkish room in the Silver House, the “Baba Raina” reading club, a board game club, online and combined tickets and wine tastings. These will be the highlights in the municipality’s presentation at the leading tourist exhibition Holiday&SPA Expo 2026 at Inter Expo Center.

Well, it’s time to immerse you in all that the Shumen Municipality team will introduce us to in Hall 3, Stand D22 from February 12 to 14.

The Renaissance Complex in Shumen is seeing a significant increase in interest from tourists and locals. Among the biggest innovations is the opening of the cozy tea room in the Kufataria Cafe. “It quickly became a preferred place for meetings, relaxation and holding events with board games,” share the Municipality of Shumen. With its authentic spirit, it gives new life to the space and complements the atmosphere of the ancient “Arasta”.

The Silver House

The cultural diversity in the complex has also been enriched with the new thematic room dedicated to the Turkish ethnicity in the Silver House.

It naturally fits into the already created rooms representing the Roma, Jewish and Armenian communities and expands the opportunity for visitors to experience the rich cultural heritage of the region.

The Renaissance Quarter as a cultural center

The creation of the “Baba Raina” reading club is another of the innovations. Its meetings are held in the Kufataria Cafe. Thanks to its active activity, many writers, artists and popular personalities have visited the complex and held meetings with the public. Thus, the Renaissance Quarter is gradually becoming a lively cultural center.

Wine tastings

Atmospheric wine tastings are organized in the cellar of the Silver House almost every month. They bring together lovers of Bulgarian wines. Various thematic experiences are also offered – in unison with the spirit of the house museum.

“Among the upcoming initiatives for the development of tourism in the region is the joint project between the municipalities of Shumen and Kaspichan. Its emphasis will be on the digitalization of the information center at the Memorial Complex, improved connectivity between tourist sites in the municipalities through new tourist signs and other new digital and infrastructure improvements that are yet to be presented,” the team informed us.
